Summer Tubing Park

Smugglers Cove is home to Ireland’s first Tubing Park, with 4 tracks varying from 50 to 100 meters.

The Summer Tubing Park at Smugglers Cove is sure to be a fun and adrenaline filled day out. Tubing is done by sitting in snow tubes and careering along 4 fast tracks on artificial snow surface. The gentle parabolic turn track to begin with which finishes over a passover bridge. There are the two straight speed runs for riders to race to the end. These are steep and fast tracks which pass under the bridge before coming to a safe stop at the end.  The fourth and steepest run is the thrilling Tubby Jump which finishes with a giant leap into a freestyle ski bag. This is not for the faint hearted and a big challenge for riders of all ages.

Age

All participants must be 8 years or older.
Participants between the ages of 8 and 11 years must be accompanied by a participating adult of 17 years or older.
CHILDREN AGED 8-11 (INCLUSIVE) WHO ARE NOT ACCOMPANIED BY A PAYING ADULT WILL BE REFUSED ENTRY AND NO REFUND WILL BE PROVIDED.
Children remain the sole responsibility of accompanying adult at all times.

Weather

Tubing is an all-weather activity, so don’t let a little rain dampen the fun. We suggest checking the weather forecast before you arrive and dressing accordingly. We recommend you bring a spare set of clothes, towel, and plastic bag if it is raining or has been raining.
Ensuring the safety of both our customers and staff, in the case of strong winds, or any other adverse weather conditions that could pose a risk, we reserve the right to postpone, reschedule, cancel, or modify aspects of the activity. We will notify ticket holders of any adjustments via email and phone as soon as possible

Rules

Big Tubes for Adults/Teenagers.
Small Tube for children.
Two people per big tube on dry days on the straight runs only.
Tubers must remain in tube at all times until Tube comes to a full stop.
Riders must hold onto handles provided on the tubes at all times.
The cord used to pull the tube must remain inside the tube at all times once going downhill.
Flat shoes or runners only. No flip flops allowed
Anyone who suffers from Heart Issues or issues relating to the back or neck, are advised not to partake in this activity
Children aged 8-11 (inclusive) who are not accompanied by a paying adult will be refused entry and no refund will be provided.
Smugglers Cove staff directions must be followed at all times.
The Tubing Park is only for use during public opening hours and when staff are on duty.

Children aged 8-11 (inclusive) who are not accompanied by a paying adult will be refused entry and no refund will be provided.
The minimum height allowed on the tubing park is 1.2 meters
Flat shoes or runners only. No flip flops or Sandals allowed
On the very rare occasion we get excessively high winds, the tubing park may have to close
Whilst we operate to the strictest standards of health and safety, participants accept the risk of injury and participate at their own risk.
Smugglers Cove and third parties to whom we have provided authority to takes photographs and/or videos during this event, which may appear on their websites, social media, and other marketing materials . If participants do not want to be photographed and/or recorded, then the participant must notify us via email [email protected] before the session begins
Bookings (date and time) can be changed up to 24hrs before your booking time online via confirmation email.
No refund will be provided in case of booking cancellation (full or partial) or no-show.

Before participating in Tubing, please ensure that none of the following conditions apply to you. If any do, kindly obtain written approval from your doctor, which we will need to see before allowing you to take part.

Exceeding a weight of 135kg
Presence of heart disease, high or low blood pressure, or any cardiovascular issues not adequately managed by medication.
You are currently pregnant.
Unexplained chest pains, especially with minimal exertion.
Breathing difficulties, including uncontrolled asthma.
Currently recovering from a serious illness, injury, or surgical procedure.
Experiencing back or neck pain, or experiencing limited movement in any joint exacerbated by physical activity.
Brittle Bones
History of spinal, musculoskeletal, or head injuries.
Uncontrolled epilepsy.
Taking medication causing drowsiness,or experiencing frequent fainting spells or dizziness.
Any other medical condition increasing the risk or severity of injury from physical impact.

If you have any other medical condition potentially affecting your ability to participate, or which may be exacerbated by participation, please seek advice from your doctor and inform us prior to engaging in the activity.
