One of Cork’s most popular attractions Smugglers Cove in Rosscarbery is set to get bigger as it opens two new additions this weekend.
‘Rebel Rampage’ Ireland’s biggest outdoor inflatable obstacle course at over 300M long has already generated excitement online since the West Cork attraction started posting videos of it on social media. The course which is for anyone over the age of 8 has over 30 exhilarating obstacles to conquer and has a capacity of 80 people. Geoff Wycherley the owner of Smugglers Cove is excited about opening the new additions saying, “At Smugglers Cove, we are always exploring new ways to expand with families in mind, this year our exciting new attractions do just that, offering something for adults, teenagers and children”
”. Young families will be very excited at the opening of the new Driving school for which is an interactive kids’ activity featuring electric ride on mini cars.
The driving school is suitable for under 12 years old, with a secondary seat at the rear for an adult to assist younger children. The school features a mix of jeeps and cars on scaled-down roadways that include road signs and roundabouts allowing kids to discover the fun side of driving.
The addition of the Driving School and Rebel Rampage comes off the back of the success of the Tubing Park which attracted people from all over Ireland when it opened in the summer of 2021. “When we opened the tubing park, we had a feeling people would like it but when over 80,000 people visited us, we were blown away as it was more than double the visitors we had the previous year” added Geoff.
The Tubing Park is like a snow-free ski run where people sit into bright coloured tubes and enjoy a unique ride downhill overlooking the beautiful village of Rosscarbery in West Cork. On top of Tubing Park and the new additions, Smugglers Cove is already home to a mini golf course, timber maze and a huge corn maze which opens in the summer months.
